Judge Realty, Art Rise Savannah, and artist Jamie Bourgeois have been collaborating on a work of public art throughout the month of June. Bourgeois has been creating a Savannah’s first eco-friendly mural on the facade of Judge Realty on Abercorn St. using not paint, but moss. Judge Realty has been matching donations to Art Rise Savannah dollar for dollar throughout the month to help support for Art Rise Savannah’s public art projects.
The finished piece adorned the building on Thursday evening at the 10 year celebration of Judge Realty. Folks who came to the party had the opportunity to bid on flower pots painted by local artists in the silent auction. With great food, drinks, music, and art the heat didn’t seem to bother too many people. At the end of the evening Art Rise had raised $2500! Hooray for public art and congratulations Lori Judge and Judge Realty.
