Let's Soup it Up for Loop It Up
Hello friends! We wanted to let you all know about a fun project we’re involved with this winter, as well as how you can get involved. We’ve teamed up with our friends at Coffee.Deli here in Savannah to Soup It Up for Loop It Up.
Loop It Up Savannah is a local non-profit that brings art programming to thousands of children and youth in Savannah each year. Since their founding in 2008, they have grown from a kids knitting and crocheting class to a program that goes into area schools and other sites and directly impacts more than 5,000 kids in a calendar year. In addition to art classes, they also paint community murals, provide books to kids, and run a scholarship program to help kids attend summer camp.
As a publication that is focused on sharing the stories of artists and makers and celebrating creativity and intention, working with Loop It Up seemed like a natural fit for Paprika Southern. We were honored to be invited to be Celebrity Soup POT-ners for their 2019 Soup It Up for Loop It Up campaign.
Soup It Up is an event where area restaurants compete for the best soup recipe to raise both funds and awareness for Loop It Up. This year, they’ve also asked community members to team up with the restaurants for 2 months of fund- and awareness-raising.
There are a ton of ways you can get involved! Whether you live in Savannah or beyond, we’ve got a way for you to contribute to Loop It Up.
Stop by Coffee.Deli and order the veggie soup. Not only is it filled with delicious vegan goodness (pictured here!), a portion of proceeds from soup sales will benefit Loop It Up.
Celebrate Mardi Gras with Dollar Drink night on Tuesday March 5 at Bar.Food—a portion of dollar drink sales will benefit Loop It Up.
Attend our Spring Release Party benefiting Loop It Up! You can make a donation at the party and enter our #LocalLove raffle, benefiting Loop It Up. We’ll also be donating 20% of our sales from the event to Loop It Up, so it’s a great way to make your magazine purchase or new subscription purchase have a meaningful impact.
Donate directly to Loop It Up via our fundraising platform here.
