Hey, call us basic, but ‘tis the season for pumpkin spice, and the PS team embraces. It’s our initials too, afterall. Pumpkin spice is generally associated with cozy mornings: lattes, muffins and the like. We got to thinking about a pumpkin spice beverage to sip fireside on a cozy evening. Since Savannah grips summer with an iron fist well into November, an iced drink is still ideal. Behold the PS Mule--for regions where fall is more of a mindset than need to switch the heat on.
For 2 cocktails
2 glasses, copper mugs are traditional
ice , crushed or cubed
vodka
Ginger beer
Coffee shop style fall spice syrup (such as Torani brand) or homemade simple syrup infused with cinnamon and clove.
Fill each glass with ice, for each add 2 ounces of vodka, 1 ounce flavored syrup, then top the remainder with ginger beer. Stir to combine (with cinnamon stick if you’re really vibing) and serve immediately.
